Greek yogurt Freek!

I love greek yogurt... not all kinds but I love, and eat daily, my chobani yogurt cups. Most of the greek yogurt sold in grocery stores has a bad after taste and really is not that great. But my favorites, by far, are Chobani and Fage. Chobani sells a box of 12 at costco for about $12, which is very reasonable considering they are about $1.50 in specialty grocery stores.. So continuing my love of yogurt in the summer I have sound Yasso...also sold at costco. Frozen greek yogurt that comes in strawberry and blueberry and both are delicious with no aftertaste. Best of all they are gluten-free, 70 calories, 12g carbs and 6g of protien. Thank you Yasso!!!

Top 10 things I learned at work in the last couple weeks...

10. No amount of being early on a project is good enough for “someone” else.

9. That even though I have extreme dry eye and my eyes don’t naturally tear, when I start crying I better be prepared to cry for another 20 minutes because my eyes wont quit.

8. After lunch chocolate can cure ANYTHING that is going wrong that morning.

7. “Some” people are just natural drama creators, they will create drama in any department they are apart of.

6. No matter how nice you are to “someone” you can’t make them like you unless they want to.

5. You can find a song to sing in ANY situation or after any comment.

4. Being happy and finding something/someone to share it with is worth more than anything you do at work. Work to live, not live to work!

3. You can hear someone crunching ice from 15+ feet away.

2. Just because you work with “someone” doesn’t mean you are friends with them.

1. Being able to brush off “someone” else’s opinion as a misguided perception is key to being a happier employee/person.

Monday, Monday....

Monday, Monday...SIGH!

So updates from last week... I weighted and measured on Wednesday last week and lost only 1 pound, but lost 3.5 inches and 3% body fat! 2.5 inches in my waist alone! Which is not super great for a month, but my diet has been refocused with a new emphasis on protein and closely watching my salt levels. Hopefully my body will get over this plateau soon! My goal is to lose 15 pounds by June the 3rd (2 months). Not impossible by any means but my body has been stuck the last month gaining muscle and not losing fat.

On my quest for more protein and I asked around at work and one of my awesome collegues gave me a couple samples for Dymatize Elite Fusion 7 cookies and cream protein and I have to say with milk this is the best protein supplement. It really doesn't taste like it should for all the great ingredients it contains. They also have a mochaccino and banana smoothie I can't wait to try!

On Friday Todd and I went out to canton's First Monday and had a great day walking around, shopping and eating in this great weather we have been having. WE didn't buy much but I did invest in a pair of GlitterFlops that will be delivered to be this week sometime. I am super excited about these. Having battles foot problems over the last year and a half I can't tell you how great it is to find flip flops that have a 1/2" memory foam and an arch support and on top of all that they are cute! I'll post pictures when they come in.

Another Measurement day...

Today I have another personal training measurement day with Kandis which I am super nervous about. I am stuck with weight loss and have been for weeks. I have been so strict with my diet this week it's almost in the category of Diet-Nazi. I just hope things turn out better or I might be depressed tomorrow. My last measurement I had lost 10 pounds and 12 inches! Today I don't think is going to be great, but hopefully an improvement. I can tell a major difference in my body just not on the scale which is discouraging when you do nothing but burn calories and track calories all day. But I need to look at the bright side on what I have accomplished... 30 pounds... and make every day count!

I'll report more tomorrow on tonight's findings.

On a better note.. Todd put in and got a transfer to Terrell this last week, so he is 45 minutes closer to home, which we love with these gas prices. He also has passed his physical and written exams for a part-time job with Sasche FD. He is working with them to fit in his interview within the next week. I'll keep you updated..

Since I love my Boston so much, here's a cute boston pic for today...

Batter Blaster and Big news!

I saw this in the store over the weekend and was so excited I about started dancing in the aisles! I have tried the original before, but now in whole wheat! So ecstatic! Add some fruit and that's a breakfast. (2 WW points plus per serving)

I'll let you know how they turn out.

On an even more exciting note... Todd starts working tomorrow! After almost 2 years of unemployment and countless disappointments, he'll be a full time EMT for East Texas Ambulance in Tyler as of tomorrow! Praise God!
